Bio

Clayton earned both his B.A. and M.A. in English and Secondary Education at Columbus State University. He has been teaching first year composition with Columbus State since 2016. As an undergraduate, Clayton studied abroad with Columbus State as part of the CSU in Mexico program for two consecutive summers, instilling a passion for study abroad and the International Learning Community on campus. After earning a Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages endorsement as part of his M.A., one of Clayton's specialty areas is in teaching English as a second language. Other areas of interest include minority, gender, and international studies, particularly related to literature and modern fiction.
